Monuments d\u00e9di\u00e9s \u00e0 l’univers<\/h2>\n

Denis Aug\u00e9 a renonc\u00e9 \u00e0 une carri\u00e8re en g\u00e9nie \u00e9lectrique et robotique pour d\u00e9couvrir une nouvelle vie.\u00a0 <\/span>Apr\u00e8s neuf ans pass\u00e9s sur un voilier, \u00e0 voyager et \u00e0 \u00e9lever une famille, il s’est install\u00e9 \u00e0 nouveau sur la terre ferme.\u00a0 <\/span>Il d\u00e9cide alors de construire, avec passion, quelque chose d’unique, \u00e0 la vision contemporaine et audacieuse. En 2009, il cr\u00e9\u00e9 une s\u00e9rie de sculptures en forme de sph\u00e8res lumineuses. Dans un r\u00e9seau de galets g\u00e9ants, il capture la lumi\u00e8re du jour baignant de soleil, et les horizons illimit\u00e9s de la mer.\u00a0 <\/span>Pour r\u00e9aliser sa vision, il lui faut mat\u00e9rialiser \u00e0 une \u00e9chelle monumentale, collecter des milliers de kilos de ces pierres rendu par l\u2019oc\u00e9an, et sculpter par un processus d’assemblage laborieux, difficile, et parfois dangereux.
\u00a0<\/span>Le succ\u00e8s de ses sph\u00e8res a permis \u00e0 Denis Aug\u00e9 de s’immerger dans un tout nouveau monde, et il est depuis rest\u00e9 fid\u00e8le \u00e0 sa vocation d’explorer la relation entre la terre, la pierre et la lumi\u00e8re. Depuis 2015, des anneaux, des disques, des flammes et des sph\u00e8res monumentales ont vu le jour dans l’ensemble de ses \u0153uvres, o\u00f9 les pierres, lib\u00e9r\u00e9es de la pesanteur, r\u00e9v\u00e8lent leur conscience ancienne. La pierre d\u00e9tient la m\u00e9moire de l’univers ; des \u00e9chos sans fin existent dans la roche, et comme les monuments anciens, l’in\u00e9vitable synergie entre forme, \u00e9quilibre, terre et harmonie n\u00e9cessite l’occupation de tout un paysage.
\u00a0<\/span>Denis Aug\u00e9 est un visionnaire positif, comme en t\u00e9moigne la beaut\u00e9 et l’harmonie de son travail. Les sculptures r\u00e9centes sont des monuments contemporains embl\u00e9matiques, plus grands que nature, n\u00e9s dans l’esprit d’un ing\u00e9nieur \u00e0 la vision singuli\u00e8re.\u00a0 <\/span>Pour marier ses plans architecturaux et monumentaux, il faut d’abord acqu\u00e9rir des montagnes de belle ardoise, puis les tailler et les polir avec le d\u00e9vouement s\u00e9duisant d’un cr\u00e9ateur passionn\u00e9.\u00a0 <\/span>Les cristaux incrust\u00e9s dans l’ardoise, dans des endroits secrets, sont destin\u00e9s \u00e0 cr\u00e9er un vortex qui peut \u00eatre r\u00e9ellement mesur\u00e9. Denis Aug\u00e9 invite le spectateur \u00e0 faire l’exp\u00e9rience de quelque chose de primitif… un dialogue avec les \u00e9l\u00e9ments.\u00a0<\/span>
\u00a0<\/span>L’\u0153uvre \u00e9voque l’harmonie dans un monde naturel et, une fois install\u00e9e, trouve de suite sa place et sublime le paysage. De nature dynamique, les sculptures sont acclam\u00e9es par des \u00e9l\u00e9ments divins, et c\u00e9l\u00e8brent la juxtaposition entre la pr\u00e9cision d’un homme et la nature elle-m\u00eame.\u00a0<\/span>
\u00a0<\/span>L’ensemble de l’\u0153uvre de Denis Aug\u00e9 a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9voil\u00e9 pour la premi\u00e8re fois lors de la Semaine des sciences humaines de l’Unesco \u00e0 Li\u00e8ge, en Belgique.\u00a0 <\/span>En 2016, cinquante artistes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 choisis dans le monde entier pour pr\u00e9senter des \u0153uvres qui ont eu un impact significatif sur les communaut\u00e9s urbaines et rurales.\u00a0 <\/span>En 2020, une nouvelle collection de sculptures a \u00e9t\u00e9 expos\u00e9e dans le ch\u00e2teau de Belcastel, un monument historique de l’Aveyron.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Monuments to the universe<\/h2>\n

Denis Aug\u00e9 gave up a career in electrical and robotic engineering to discover a new life.\u00a0 <\/span>After nine years on a sailboat, traveling and raising a family, he settled back onto dry land.\u00a0 <\/span>Awed by the experience, he decided to build something unique with a newfound passion and bold, contemporary vision. In 2009 he finished a series of luminous sphere sculptures.\u00a0 <\/span>Within a network of giant pebbles the sun drenched daylight and boundless horizons of the sea were captured.\u00a0 <\/span>Thousands of kilos of these stones were collected by the Artist, after the ocean gave them back. The process of bonding these stones together is laborious, difficult and at times dangerous, but in order to realize his vision, the monumental scale had to be materialized.\u00a0<\/span>
Success of his spheres enabled Denis Aug\u00e9 to immerse himself into a brand new world, and he has since remained dedicated to exploring the relationship between earth, stone and light. Since 2015, monumental rings, discs, flames, and spheres have emerged in this body of work in which the stones, freed from weightlessness, reveal their ancient consciousness. Stone holds the memory of the universe; echos without end exist within rock, and like ancient monuments, the inevitable synergy between form, balance, earth and harmony require an entire landscape to be occupied.
Denis Aug\u00e9 is a positive visionary, as reflected in the beauty and harmony of his work. Recent sculptures are iconic contemporary monuments, larger than life, born in the mind\u2019s eye of an engineer with a singular vision.\u00a0 <\/span>To marry his architectural and monumental plans mountains of beautiful slate must first be acquired, and then cut and polished with the sedulous dedication of an impassioned creative.\u00a0 <\/span>Crystals embedded into the slate, in secret places, are intended to create a vortex that can actually be measured. Denis Aug\u00e9 invites the viewer to experience something primal\u2026 a dialogue with the elements.\u00a0<\/span>
\u00a0<\/span>The collective work speaks of harmony in the natural world, and when installed, finds its own place as part of a sublime landscape. Dynamic in nature, the sculptures are cheered by elements of the gods, and celebrate the juxtaposition between one man\u2019s precision and mother nature herself.\u00a0<\/span>
Denis Aug\u00e9\u2019s ongoing body of work was initially unveiled during Unesco Humanities Week\u00a0 <\/span>in Liege, Belgium.\u00a0 <\/span>In 2016 fifty artists were chosen from around the world to present work that made a significant impact to urban and rural communities. In 2020 a new collection of sculptures was exhibited throughout Chateau de Belcastel, an historic monument in the Aveyron region of France.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab Da er keinen sichtbaren Rahmen verf\u00fcgte, hat Denis einen neuen Weg in der Welt der Skulptur er\u00f6ffnet \u00bb (Auszug der Revue Art et D\u00e9coration).
Die Ehe zwischen Stein und Licht f\u00e4ngt das Auge und wird zu einer zeitgen\u00f6ssischen Kreation f\u00fcr Au\u00dfen oder Innen.
Die Kugeln sind f\u00fcr mich der Schl\u00fcssel welcher die T\u00fcr der zeitgen\u00f6ssischen Au\u00dfen Kunst \u00f6ffnet.
Dier ersten monumentalen Skulpturen sind in 2015 entstanden,
eine von diesen hat sich, als ob es selbstverst\u00e4ndlich war, in den Rosengarten der Abtei von Fontfroide in der N\u00e4he von Narbonne gesetzt, die Zeit eines Sommers.<\/p>\n
